Welcome to the Psychology Lab at CMR International School Suraram

The Department of Psychology at CMR International School Suraram boasts a well-equipped Psychology Lab, designed to facilitate cognitive and psychophysical assessments. Our purpose-built laboratories provide psychology students with the necessary tools and resources to collect data from human participants using a variety of assessment tools. Here, students have the opportunity to enhance their understanding of psychological testing methods and gain hands-on experience in conducting experiments across a range of psychological domains.

State-of-the-Art Facilities:

Our Psychology Lab is equipped with various instruments and tests for conducting experiments in areas such as Intelligence, Attention, Perception, Emotions, Memory, Sensory motor processing, Concept formation, Color preference Adjustment, Stress, Anxiety, Personality, Self-concept, Career Maturity, and Job satisfaction.

Hands-On Learning in Psychological Testing:

Students in the Psychology Lab are trained in administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests. This hands-on approach enlivens students’ interest and deepens their comprehension of how psychological tests function, preparing them for future careers in psychology and related fields.

Intelligence Testing (IQ Test):

Our lab offers assessments such as the Ravens Standard Progressive Matrices and Gardner Multiple Intelligence Test, which measure a range of cognitive abilities and provide insights into an individual’s intellectual abilities and potential.

Personality Assessment:

Students have access to tools like the Eysenck Personality Test and Cattell’s 16 PF Test, which are self-report inventories that help individuals assess their own personality characteristics.

Career Maturity Inventory (CMI):

The CMI assesses adolescents’ and adults’ approach towards career development tasks and evaluates the readiness attitudes of students in making appropriate vocational plans.

Student Stress Scale:

This assessment tool helps evaluate students’ stress levels across various aspects, including financial, family, social, educational, ego threat, personal setbacks, and health.

Attention Testing:

The attention test evaluates various aspects of attention, including behavioral alterations, response time, visual perception, shifting inhibition, spatial perception, processing speed, visual scanning, and hand-eye coordination.

Trial and Error Learning Test:

This test assesses students’ learning skills, problem-solving abilities, memory levels, motivation, spatial knowledge, and sensory experiences.
